Spring Branch ISD is hosting Parent U: Understanding Math Pathways for incoming sixth grade families on Thursday, Jan. 12 at 6 p.m. via Zoom. This session will educate families on the importance of making early math choices as they consider the best options for their students. 

At SBISD, numeracy, or the ability to understand and work with numbers, is a main focus. Students must have strong foundational math skills in order to achieve SBISD’s T-2-4 vision. In the classroom, students are prepared to be confident and creative mathematical thinkers. 

During this Parent U, families will learn about the different math pathways in middle and high school to make informed decisions when making math choices. It is important to begin looking for the best option for your incoming sixth grade student, as their transition period approaches.
